The course presents itself as an introduction to the study of the basic concepts of South American history from an interdisciplinary approach. The objectives are to: -Analyze music, poetry and plastic arts that bring themes about South America. -Identify through music, poetry and plastic arts the intention to demonstrate perspectives on South America. -Reflect about the historical processes responsible for the construction of the cultural identity of South America. -Relate the exposed music, poetry and plastic arts with the political, social and economic situation of the period of their releases. -Recognize the common political, social, and economic realities of South America. -Reflect on the relationship between Europe and South America. -Stimulate new perspectives on South America. -Show students that history is dynamic and that political relations between countries culminate in reactions from various social sectors, including the artistic one. The course is taught in English.

  • forms of resistance, such as dance and music practiced in South America in the constitution of the identity of these peoples and their countries
  • the main problems faced by the population of South American countries
